Here are some resources for learning more about missions. If you are thinking about applying for missions, please come talk to BSU Staff and we can help you discern how to answer the call.

Prayercast

Prayercast is a resource to help you pray for the nations. It includes videos that help you pray specifically for different nations. “The vision of Prayercast is to use the tools of our day - audio, video, the internet, and other emerging technologies - to create and widely distribute artistic and compelling prayer tools.”https://prayercast.com

Unreached of the Day

Unreached of the Day is a resource that shows you a different unreached people group each day. It gives you a brief overview of their beliefs, needs, and location. It also shows the different challenges of reaching them. It has information on if they have the Bible in their language, and where they live. Radical Urgent

Radical Urgent is a way to donate money to specifically reaching unreached people groups. “Less than 1% of money given to missions goes to unreached people and places. That means that the people with the most urgent spiritual and physical needs on the planet are receiving the least amount of support. Let’s change that!” https://urgentneeds.org

Stratus

Stratus is a resource that helps you look at different places around the world to see their spiritual and physical needs. “Stratus aims to address the Great Imbalance by helping the church identify the world’s most urgent needs so that it can reallocate its resources more strategically.” https://stratus.earth

Missions Statistics

Operation World

Operation World is another resource to help you pray for the nations. “Join people from every nation, praying for people in every nation. Operation World equips believers to respond to God’s call for his people to pray.” https://operationworld.org

Bless Every Home

Bless Every Home is a resource that helps you strategically pray for and share with your neighbors. It will send you periodic emails with your neighbor’s names from their database. You can log notes about conversations you’ve had with your neighbors in your app, as well as mark when you’ve prayed for them. https://blesseveryhome.com

Pray the Word

Pray the Word is a daily podcast that prays through God’s word. It helps you store God’s word in your heart, as well as pray to Him reflecting on what His word says. https://radical.net/articles/podcast_type/pray-the-word/

Secret Church 2021

Journeyman (IMB)

Journeyman is a way to serve among the unreached internationally after you graduate. It is a 2 year, fully funded job through the International Mission Board. https://www.imb.org/go/options/journeyman/

GenSend

Nehemiah Teams

Nehemiah Teams is a way to serve for summer missions internationally. “Standing in the gap among the unreached and the hard to reach. Nehemiah Teams offers short-term mission projects that have eternal results.” https://www.nehemiahteams.com
